Eminem wants to be cloned! Speaking on the eve of the UK and Ireland leg of his Anger Management Tour, which kicked off with three mammoth nights at the Milton Keynes Bowl, Eminem said: “That cloning thing they’re doing they should hurry that up. Then I’d be able to do movies and rap and produce at the same time and run a label and rip my hair out!”

Eminem also told Radio 1’s Zane Lowe about signing the phenomenally successful 50 Cent: “One of the things that struck me about 50 when I first heard him was his authenticity and there was a mystique about him. When he came back (after being shot) he was out of his mind, and what he’s saying on his records is extremely believable.”

Eminem’s A&R skills have been richly rewarded. 50 Cent, who is a key part of the current tour, has already sold over five million copies of his debut album ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

Meanwhile, Eminem was less effusive in praise of his Oscar-winning movie debut, 8 mile.

“Prison. That’s what I think of as the closest thing to making that movie,” he said. “It’s kinda like you’re on somebody else’s schedule. It was a big movie. It was a big role. Every scene. I’m never going to do that again.”

“The way I looked at the movie was I wanted to do this movie. It wasn’t a story about my life, it could have been anybody’s story really. I wanted to show from my side of the tracks how I grew up but it’s not just how I grew up. There’s so many people that grew up and are growing up like I did. So I wanted to do that – to make a movie that was real to me. I just wanted to make a movie that I felt was real and true to my heart.”

However, he confirmed that he’d be happy to work on more film projects so long as he had more control – and subject to him being cloned. Eminem wants to be cloned.

“I’ve thought about (doing another film),” he said. “In a perfect world there’d be enough of me to do what I do, do you know what I mean?”
