Kings of Leon

Having just walked offstage after an amazing gig at London’s Electric Ballroom, Kings Of Leon are seen here relaxing in their dressing room. Also present were supermodel Kate Moss, here celebrity designer pal Stella McCartney and actress Sadie Frost, all hanging out for a chat.

The gig was watched by the likes of Oasis stars Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer, and Supergrass’ Danny Goffey.

“It’s great. Wow!” Singer/guitarist Caleb Followill beamed. “It’s unbelievable. We had to cancel a couple of shows because we were kinda sick, but we got a great reception and great crowd. Loads of people were there were loads ‘Wow’ and then there were loads of important people there too and we were, like, ‘Wow!'”

This was Kings Of Leon’s first headline show in the UK since the release of their debut album ‘Youth & Young Manhood‘.

The celebs pictured were among the lucky few who could actually get in – demand for tickets for the Camden Electric Ballroom was up to six times the 1,000-capacity of the venue.

The gig is a high point for the Kings after a staggering six months for the Followill clan. As went to press ‘Youth & Young Manhood‘ was on course to smash into the Top Five of the UK album chart. At the start of the year when they were included in our new bands special, they were playing at the London Garage to a handful of music industry insiders.

“It’s been going real quick for us, man,” Caleb added. “We’re really enjoying it. We’re excited to see what the next six months hold for us”.

Kings of Leon is a musical group from the United States that carries the flow psychadelic rock genre which has a unique music, especially vocal screeching sounds and pronunciation of English words difficult to understand. The group was founded in 2000. The band is composed of brothers Caleb Followill (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Nathan Followill (drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Jared Followill (bass guitar, backing vocals), with their cousin Matthew Followill (lead guitar, backing vocals).
